Print materials

A good mould starts with good impression materials. MILD, MEDI and FERM impression materials are especially made for digital production and are used with the Automix 2 mixing gun.

Our production department knows the properties of these impression materials and their use inside-out. As a result, our customised products have the perfect fit. Moreover, our impression materials are attractively marketed and easy to order via our customer portal.

Impression material with low viscosity. Suitable for light hearing loss ≤ 40 dB. this material is very suitable for ear moulds that require less seal. It is also very comfortable for the wearer.

For CIC and ITE hearing aids, exostoses, microtion, Deep-Fit impressions, children's adaptation.

MEDI is our standard impression material, suitable for medium hearing loss ≥ 40 dB ≤ 70 dB, where a good seal is desirable. For Deep-Fit adaptations, MILD material is a better choice.

For ITE and BTE hearing aids and RIC adaptations (excluding Deep-Fit, use MILD here)

FERM is usable for the serious hearing losses ≥ 70 dB and every form of hearing protection. The material has high viscosity, hardens faster and gives a full print, ensuring a good seal.

For BTE hearing aids and hearing protection

A good print is half the work: what do you pay attention to?

This is the most important information in an impression, especially for strong hearing aids and hearing protection. Place the impression pad behoynd the 2nd bend. Make sure the impression material connects seamlessly to the 2nd bend and touches the ear evenly all over.

In combination with the information on the order form the lab technician can determine the length of the helix in the ear mould.

The transition section from the tragus to the helix bridge. This is information the lab technician needs to determine the right position of the nipple.
